Editing/Proofreading
Sometimes a fresh set of eyes is all that is needed to turn a good story into a great story. The question is what type of proofreading or editing do you require.
Standard Proofreading - Is making sure that your writing is free of mechanical errors such as spelling, punctuation, consistency, and is grammatically correct. Standard proofreading is $5.00 per page.
Editorial Proofreading - Includes the above standard proofreading as well as other tweaks and modifications to ensure correct word choice and clarity is used. Editorial proofreading is $7.00 per page.
Copyediting - Includes both the above proofreading tasks as well as writing to improve phrasing and organization to make your writing more effective. Copyediting is $9.00 per page.
Substantive Editing - Is a greater level of rewriting and reorganizing to the point of new suggestions, approaches, and ideas being made. This type of editing is generally done on large projects such as novels. Substantive editing is $15.00 per page.
The turn-around time for each of the above will depend on the length is of what you need done. However, the turn-around time for substantive editing will be longer due to it being a lot more in depth.
